MISSION STATEMENT

MSM: No Political Agenda - MSMNPA, is a registered not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Trinidad & Tobago, committed to national leadership in the fight against AIDS. Our mission is to reduce the spread of HIV disease; help people with HIV maintain and improve their health and independence; and keep the prevention, treatment, care and support activities and services of HIV a national priority. In fulfilling this mission, we will remain true to our heritage by fighting homophobia and affirming the individual dignity of all gay and men who have sex with men (MSM) communities.

ORGANISATIONAL GOAL

Gay men and men who have sex with men (MSM) have a voice and rightful place in society in the Caribbean.

OBJECTIVES

Our objectives include the increased awareness of HIV/AIDS/STIs and safe sex practises; reduced numbers of HIV/AIDS/STI infections; improved quality of life and health care for PLWHAs; and improved human rights policies.

SERVICES

Our main activities serve gay and men who have sex with men, in the following areas:

PREVENTION

• Research, Development and Publication of HIV/AIDS Information, Education and Education materials (IEC)
• Community Intervention Projects and Events
• Access to Condoms and Lubricants
• Safe Sex education to individuals & groups 
• Peer Support

TREATMENT, CARE, AND SUPPORT

• Private Counselling and Referral
• PLWHA Peer Support
• Referral to regional and national Treatment, Care and Support Services

ADVOCACY

• Networks with regional and national community based organisations
• Advocate for Human Rights equity
